Commercial grade 3 ply sisal twine is suitable for nursery applications such as tying rootballs or the tops of plant material.
Features:
- Biodegradable: unlike its poly (plastic) counterpart, sisal twine is meant to rot when left outdoors for long periods of time. Although loose pieces of poly string can get stuck around your mower’s blades for years to come, sisal will eventually disentegrate into the soil.
- Safe for rootballs: as a natural product, sisal is better suited to be buried underground when your tree is planted than synthetic fibers.
- Sisal biodegrades most quickly on or just under the surface of the soil where microbial activity is high.
- Twisted 3 ply twine is best suited for applications where strength is more important than softness.
